Difference between mid and long travel front coil overs?

    im planning on rear LT first. But I want to get coil overs once. So if I do rear and it lifts me a little I don’t want to have to get mid travel co and then lt co. Can I just bumpstop front lt co? I’m assuming oem v mt v lt are same coil just with longer amount of travel in each?

    Stock to Mid is same shock, the shock just has a limit spacer inside it. That's why you can buy a stock size King 2.5 coil over, then open it up, take the spacer out, and have mid travel.
    The shock for LT is not even close to the same size. LT is 8" travel (or more) shock, stock is closer to 4" shock travel length.
    Either way, do the rear first.

    Sounds like I need to suck it up and run a mt upfront. Then sell them when I go lt. Thanks for the input.

    TC 3.5 LT, RCV axles, Demello sliders, BD light bar/fogs, LP6, DMZ rear, SOS skids, custom bumper, King 16" triples, Locked-on hydro rear bumps...
    I would def recommend getting extended. Unless you jack up the front more than 2.5 inches then you should be good as the strain and config for alignment wont be enough to warrant MT UCAs. I ran extended travel kings up front at 2.25 inches just fine before I swapped to LT. Extended tends to sell much faster as many don't want the standard travel stuff since it normally requires them to be disassembled and/or taken to a shop for a rebuild as well.

    Honestly though, you could just get the rear parts ready and then get the front LT kit as well. Install LT and be a bro for a minute and then have the rear done. I know money don't grow on trees though.

    it sounds like the best plan would be to save up and get it all at once. Not sure if I would even want to spend $15k on suspension all at once though.

    Yeah I have ridden in a $180k truck before. Amazing. That doesn’t make it any easier though.

    - Total Chaos 3.5 Long travel kit - Fox 2.5 coilovers w/ resis -Prerunner bumper -Fiberglass front fenders -Fiberwerx tt bedsides - Dmz Sua - fox 2.5x16 triple bypasses
    Mid travel shocks and long travel shocks are completely different and not compatible. But rear sua shouldn't lift you too much, the lift is like 3". Could get away with mid travel in the front then sell the parts and get long travel.

    Make sure long travel is what you want, front kit can be unbolted and stock stuff put back on.

    After you grind and weld the rear long travel in, theres not much going back, at least not easily.
