So I've got just over 5k on my truck. Twice in the last month the pre collision warning has gone off seemingly randomly. Has anyone else experienced this?
The first misfire was when I was going around a curve with oncoming traffic so I attributed it to the system getting confused due to the topography and curve.
Yesterday, however, the warnings system went off on a straight road with no traffic. I was approaching a wet spot in the road but otherwise no obstacles were present. And yes, I have it set to the lowest (least sensitive) setting.
That unexpected loud beeping and flashing is going to give me a heart attack if it happens during normal driving. Has anyone else experienced these random misfires of the TCC?

Probably reflected off the water, i drove a freightliner rental truck while mine was down at work. It had the collision avoidance system and it would go off when i would pass certain road signs. Crazy as hell cause it would slam on the brakes and scare the crap outa me for no reason.
