Just curious how deep of water is safe to drive through without messing something up? I have a stock 2017 TRD off-road and I drive through water a lot on a trail I go too and wonder if it is safe to pass through. It’s been very rainy here in North Alabama for the past couple of days so it was higher than usual today but it was up to the middle of my oem mud flaps today. The bottom of my rear differential was wet but drove it home with no problems at all.

if your truck is floating or there are fish in the cabin, then I would venture a guess its too deep..

I made it through water that was reaching the bottom of my bumper but the pic above had water above the bumper. The truck kept running and wheels turning but not even crawl control could get enough traction to move in the mud at the bottom of that 'puddle'

If your doing a lot of water crossings I would recommend the rear diff breather mod. You dont want water getting into the rear diff. You'll have a bad day

Definitely going to do that when I get some free time. Don’t want to fuck up my truck. Thanks for the heads up.
