WHERE TO SOURCE ADDITIONAL T-SLOT CROSS BARS

I broke this post our separately from my "Alternate HW, Extras, etc for Prinsu" thread (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/alternate-hw-extras-etc-for-prinsu.498163/ ) to make it easier for folks to find.

This post in this section will cover where to source additional T-Slot cross bars. Prinsu sources his T-slot cross bars from http://www.tslots.com NOT 80/20 as many assume...tslots.com is right in Utah. Don't ask how I know this ;) I ordered 9 additional 47" cross bars from a tbars.com distributor and got them $5 less each than what Prinsu sells them for and had them in less than 5 days to my door. Keep in mind going this route you will have to source your own mounting bolts, washers and split washers (see the previous post above for nice SS HW).

Below is a link to the 1x2" crossbars in their catalog. Its actually page 23 and the part number for the black is 650102, silver is 650002. You will want to include the 1/4-20 tapped option 660025 on both ends and cut to 47" in length with the Cut-to-Length (CTL) option 660000:
    http://www.tslots.com/catalog/?page=22

The single 1x1" cross bar is here on page 16 (not the ones on 17): http://www.tslots.com/catalog/?page=16

Below is a link to find a local distributor or you can use the Utah distributor and they will ship to you (what I did):

    http://www.tslots.com/find-a-distributor/

    In-Position Technology
    189 South State Street, 100
    Clearfield, UT 84105
    Phone# 801-528-4690
    iptech1.com

Putting this out there for those that want to order additional crossbars but don't want to wait 6-8+ weeks to get them delivered. Again you will have to source your mounting HW but thats easy compared to the current wait time for additional parts from Prinsu.

Is it really though? It’s just cutting out the middle man... And to be honest, $40+ for an aluminum extrusion is a racket. I applaud people for sourcing it on their own, keeps pricing competitive

I think the factory size is 1/4-20 machine screw. You can pick up all of this hardware at your local Fastenal.

Cool thanks, ill swing by home depot and grab a set to see if the size matches and order the matching screw head online. I think they carry allen heads at home depot and not the torx like the prinsu comes with.

Just a heads up, I'm pretty sure that Prinsu racks don't use 10 Series extrusion that is 1/4-20 thread. I think it is 15 or 20 series which would be beefier material and larger sized hardware. Just something to keep an eye out for if you go through the tnutz route, you may end up with a weaker rack.

They use 10-series. I am 100% certain of this as I puchased additional 10 series bars already and they match exactly

Prinsu racks, cab and top, light bar, rear and side roof rack lights, ARE Camper shell, blackout, TRD Grille, Anytime front and rear cameras, Truck bed box (DIY) Bilstein 5100 front, OME 2885 Coils, Ikon Stage 2 Rear AAL
I ordered the Prinsu-equivalent from T-Nutz and the 1/4-20 carriage bolts that came with the pack rack do NOT fit into the t-slots. That was a very big surprise this week.. Probably too late to figure out what gives with t-nutz as well as I ordered and installed them around July 4th.

Very odd, my prinsu carriage bolts work fine with the t-nuts t-slots. are the carriage bolts too wide? dome too tall? etc? Pic? I suspect a minor bit of filing the carriage bolt domes would get you going.
