Excited to purchase my first Tacoma!

Been looking and looking and came across this 2005 4x4 double cab long bed with a little over 100k miles for $13,999. I can't seem to find anything close to those miles for that price around here.

    https://www.monticellomotors.com/mobile/mdetails.aspx?vid=17534649

It's only been owned in Florida and California so the frame is rust free apparently.

Is this a good deal? I'm planning to drive out an hour to see it on Saturday. What are the main things I should look for or ask?

    Thanks everyone!

You might be able to do a little better if you are patient. And if your paying cash dont know your situation. Pricing can be area specific I did alot better but im in LA and was very patient. A few things ive learned from buying numerous vehicles is dont trust anyone put that thing under a microscope and dont be afraid to walk away. Thats not a bad deal by any means just keep your eyes open.

Check for rust anyway, check for a blown headgasket with a block tester kit.

Looks like a good truck though! Welcome to TW!

Depends on where it was in CA. Anywhere near the beach is gonna have rust. You simply can't avoid it with all that salt in the air.

Good call on the block test kit. I'll pick one up before I see it.
That's true definitely will be taking a closer look.

If that's a good deal, it won't last until Saturday.

No way would I buy this gem. All 05's, most 06's, have the dreaded faulty V6 head gasket. Sooner or later they will leak. How soon? Depends on who you ask. Search this forum and you will find lots of discussion about this known problem. Keep looking for a 07 or newer.
