I've been on TW for a couple of years now and never saw this thread before... Here's my 93 GT 5 spd... Had a brand new bright red 91 that I traded in, and also a 1988 Saleen that I sold to buy our house in 2009...

Nice! There was a time when foxbodies were all over the place. Nowadays not so much. I just went to Cars and Coffee Lehigh Valley and you could count on one hand the fox mustangs. Your car looks to be in excellent shape. Enjoy it and keep it and one day maybe pass it on!

Thank you. Well it does need some work... Mostly in the interior but it is good enough for now. I've been driving it less than 1,000 miles a year since 2013... So that helps a little...

old man emu, nitrocharger shocks, darkar leaf springs, bbs wheels, access tonneau cover, laufen AT 275/65/18,
I've always loved the foxbody mustang. LX, GT, saleen, cobra. I was born in 87 and I remember driving a few GT and LX when I was in high school. My uncle had a 88 GT. I still wish I could get one. On a side note I did have a goat, I know not mustang but nonetheless fun.

Thanks, Titanium Frost is a pretty rare color, I have a build sheet somewhere and it says something along the lines of there only being 114 cars the same as mine.

Yeah that's pretty rare.. this is my 3rd and most likely last fox body/toy car ever... Always liked them.. even with all of their plastic rattles and noises...

I still have this. I might be buying a chassis for this car. I just need to make sure the chassis is right before I pull the trigger on this transaction. If I do end up with a better chassis I will begin the transfer of all conponents to the new chassis. Despite being mostly original, the chassis on my mustang is rusted out. A new chassis will remedy this but I will lose the numbers matching authenticity of the original blue chassis. The next few days will tell the tale.

No good. Not quite the nice clean chassis that I am looking for. As a matter of fact it looked like it took a front end hit at some point. So the search continues. Or I will sell it eventually... or not. Who knows?

Yes! Love that there is a Fox Body thread. I'm a huge mustang fan. My first mustang was a 1995 dark green 5.0... slow as hell. That got totaled as I hit a deer on my way from Sacramento, CA to Reno, NV.

With the proceeds from that insurance claim I bought my first fox body while in college. I owned it for roughly 10 years and did a lot of stuff to it through that time. Sadly and regretfully I don't own it anymore... kick myself all the time for selling her. Here are some pics throughout my time with her:

Don't have any stock pictures that I can get to quickly so here are random ones throughout the 10 years starting with oldest to newest.

The quick and dirty mod list to the fox is:

Built 331 with all Trick Flow top end stuff
    Various MaximumMotorsports suspension components
    3.73's / MGM short shifter
    03 Cobra brakes front/rear
    Corbeau seats
    Full exhaust headers to mufflers
All the supporting mods required for such upgrades

    With black 01 Cobra wheels:
    IMG_1124.jpg

Then I moved up to 03 Cobra wheels. They looked great but rubbed too much on the fender and chewed up tire sidewalls:
    IMG_0343.jpg

    IMG_1017.jpg

    IMG_1929.jpg

I finally settled on 'new edge' GT rims... thought they looked great and they didn't rub at all:

    IMG_2205.jpg

Sadly, I sold the fox to fund my 1998 Cobra project:

This one I also bought bone stock. I only focused on suspension mods while I had this car since I wasn't very familiar with the 4v's.

    Quick and dirty mod list:

Various MaximumMotorsports suspension components including front coilovers. I think this includes (if I remember correctly) adjustable LCA's, Panhard Bar, Koni Shocks/struts, the coilovers… I think that may be it.
    3.73's with MGM shifter
    Mufflers

    IMG_2206.jpg

    IMG_2208.jpg

    IMG_2207.jpg

Now I've sold them all to fund the Tacoma hobby.

I desperately want to buy another Fox and will one day, they are such fun cars to drive and to work on.
