    I was looking at a couple of reviews on youtube last night and all that I saw really liked the rifles. I haven't actually priced them locally but I would assume the Del-Ton Sport Mod 2 would be similar compared to the S&W M&P Sport 2. I saw a comparsion on the two, that particular person liked the sights, the barrel, and the color match on the Del-Ton than the S&W. I'm not sure what kind of warranty they have. I'm not sure how much range time I would have with either so that's my main reason I didn't want to spend $700 plus on my first AR.

    That would probably be a pretty good comparison

    I'm not sure what else to look for when narrowing my decision down. One of them were saying that the DT had metal sights like the military and had an "audible" click when adjusting the sight. I thought Mag-pul stuff was good stuff that came on the S&W.

    Are you planning on using and keeping the original site on it?

    What lower parts kits do you guys run in your builds? I'm collecting parts for another rifle and was wondering which lpks so keep and eye out for.

    I will probably keep the sights for a while. First thing I would probably do would be new hand guard, but at first just getting used to the platform.

    Couldn't tell you. Break is crisp, take-up is short. I'm happy with it.

    CMMG - you can't go wrong. The colored baggies helps out first time builders along with veteran builders. They also now sell a kit minus the trigger parts, so you can add your own premium drop in.

    I've only had experience with the first gen Magpul sights (MBUS), so I can't speak to the Gen II. Great concept, piss-poor execution (I had 2 sets snap off the rails), which was surprising because everything else I've ever gotten from Magpul was good kit. Now, I usually run Troy flip ups in the back and a DD fixed front sight.

    Most cheaper parts kits are verrrry similar. Cmmg makes a good kit. I’ve used them and B5 and I can’t tell the difference.

    The current gen magpul stuff is very good.

    I'm running a Troy flip up front sight;

    [IMG]

    And a military issue rear sight;
    https://www.amazon.com/MaTech-Mil-Spec-Back-up-Iron-Sight/dp/B002E6SXN4

    I've had no problems hitting a C-Zone size target (11" wide) at 450yds once these are zeroed. The rear sight is nice, as you zero with the hash mark for 300yd at 25yd, then you can just adjust for range whenever you need. Easy peazy.

    I have heard CMMG makes LPKs for lots of companies that re-brand them.

    Since we are talking Irons..this is what I have..it is ingenious, but I rarely use it. It is a double dual sight. It has 2 sets of peep sights and 2 sets of open sights. And it folds down perfectly

    I've got a MaTech sitting in my parts box. My magnifier doesn't clear it.

    +1 for Troy iron sights. I also like to pair the Troy front sight with a rear from Rock River Arms. That is what I normally recommend to people inquiring about irons.
