Any of you guys have an oil filter relocation kit?

The location on the block where the oil filter mounts is a real pain in the ass to access especially if you still have your fender liner and skid plate. As I am hoping to re fit both soon to my truck, i was thinking about trying to relocate the oil filter.

Here is the kit I'm thinking about trying:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CN4XOO/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8

Benefits are more oil capacity and you can probably run a longer filter as well = longer run times on synthetic oil.

I want to see if I should try some better long life hose than the kit provides as well.

Just curious Where are you relocating the filter to.

I would look Into A N Fittings and Stainless flexible Line rated for motor oil and the pressure you run

I mean yeah it sucks, but something like that would just make me paranoid that it would fail and I would ruin my engine.

I was looking at that same kit, but I just don't like those thin aluminum castings; afraid they would crack. I'd like to get machined cast iron or billet aluminum.

And, I would like the stainless lines and 45-degree angle fittings off of the engine plate that replaces the present filter location. I will locate the filter somewhere below the driver's side headlight housing so I can replace it without messing with a front tire. AND, I sure am not gonna worry about failure if it's installed correctly. Hell, the most grueling races in the world (DAKAR, BAJA) use remote filters (usually doubles!).

Do you think it could be snaked above the front fender? Without hitting the manifold that is? Even if the housing was mounted behind the skid plate that wouldn't be as bad.

On the 4x4 trucks its almost impossible to soak up the oil .

If there is clearance, we might be able to run a really long filter or even a bypass unit?
