I still think it’s a bad ground somewhere. Just gotta find it.

My front differential came out of a 1996 4Runner out in Oakland. It obviously spent some time in the rust belt because absolutely everything was rusted to hell. My friend and I fought that differential for four hours with rust flakes dropping on our faces.

We prevailed though. No idea how but we did. Took very course Garnet blasting media to get all the rust off in my sandblaster.

Hanging grounds may blow a fuse but unless there is a back feeding problem it is uncommon. I bet some of that trailer brake nonsense and other assorted crap you ripped out left something shorting somewhere. Also does it have the right amp fuse in there.

Whoever installed it did it right. There was this in line coupler than I just unplugged and threw away. Nicer than them splicing into the actual ignition harness.

I’ll find it. One day I’ll find it.

Whoever installed the remote start system on the other hand. Spaghetti for years.

That's where I'd start, don't want to assume it is anything else yet. Vacuum ports are a good starting point

Another thing to note, when I go WOT the trims are 4 for short and 0 for long

WOT throws you directly into open loop, not sure what the trims should do then, but zero seems weird. When mine sees boost at WOT the trims go up to +4 or so.

Did you do an upgraded fuel pump? Your piggy back may be influencing WOT a bit too.

Yeah I have the piggy back. One thing I’m thinking of is the part throttle boost enrichment thing they added. And yes I have an upgraded fuel pump.

Current mount for seat belt click; bolt too long, blocking full forward movement of slider.
The tab has a threaded hole, need to determine bolt size and thread pitch.

    Much better than stock.

I tell myself everyday I need all this stuff. But the truth is this truck worked perfectly fine when it was a stock 2WD PreRunner LOL

Apparently the internal stepper motor on my analogue TRD gauge is going kaput, hence the intermittent failure of the gauge....which sucks because TRD gauges are rare these days.

Anyone here in the inner boost circle know of a place that might be able to fix it, like Speedhut maybe? I know they custom-make gauges, might call them up and see if they can fix my TRD one.

Not sure if they'd fix it but they'd make you another one. I thought the TRD gauge was made by AutoMeter

Awesome thanks, I'll look into them..sounds like they're local-ish to me

I wasn't sure who made them for TRD but I'll see if they're able to. I just got an AEM air/fuel ratio gauge so I may just get one of their boost gauges to match

Pretty rare that a stepper motor would go out but I bet the PWM controller that drives it is on it's way out. You could see if that controller is a Jellybean part that you could solder a new one in place if though, lots if that stuff is super generic and you just have to look up the part number to find a match

Get yourself some security nuts or some way of preventing me from running off with that thing in 30 seconds. Nice Bar though!
