Hi, I am a newbie to TW. I have a 2015 TRD off road and it does not have navigation. Can a Toyota navigation system be installed? Will the wire harness and GPS antenna already exist? Shouldn't be to hard to just swap out existing system to new navigation system if everything there. Right!! Thanks for your help

No Navi in my truck, I have a road atlas installed in the back magazine pouch. I believe a few people on here have used aftermarket Navi systems as well as oem. I don’t know if it’s a simple plug and play. I doubt it is.

If you don't have the JBL system, fitting an OEM Entune Nav radio is pretty much plug and play. You may need to source a GPS antenna.

Likely the GPS antenna is already there. Mine was on my 2014. Swapped out the head unit and done.

Cool, Thanks for the replies. Yes, I have JBL so this should work. Found a Entune unit for $800 used. I will give it a shot.
Any one know of a disassemble video to link up to? Thanks

800? That’s way too expensive. Just wait. You’ll find one for 500 less than that

    It's pretty simple:

First, remove the Climate Controls. This is necessary to access the bolts that hold the head unit in. To remove the Climate Controls, using a thin putty knife, slide it underneath the Climate Control panel and pry down and out until it pops out. Then simply pull straight out.

Once you have pulled the Climate Controls out, there are 2 connectorson the back. Press the tab on pull the connectors from the Climate Controls.

You are now ready to remove the head unit. There are (4) 10mm bolts that hold the head unit in. Removethe 4 bolts. A long extension makes the job easy.

Next grab the head unit from thebottom and pull straight out. There are several clips along the top thatneed to pull out. It might be a little stiff at first but just keep gentlypulling straight out and it will comeout. Rest the head unit on a towel against the shifter once you have itout. Also be careful as the bracketunderneath can scratch your dash ifyou aren’t paying attention.

Yes, I believe it says JBL on the lower left corner of the head unit. You will also have a subwoofer behind the back seat.

I have a 2015 Limited with JBL and nav. save money and buy a Garmin portable unit for 100 150 bucks. The Toyota nav is not so user friendly......

Here is another idea, can you change out the Micro SD card on any of the non-navigation units?

Or put an aftermarket headunit in it with Android Auto/Apple Car Play and use Google maps, Waze, etc.

I don't think so. I've had both Nav and no nav....no SD card in non-nav. Sat radio comes from the XM module which is separate and mounted below the head unit.

    This!

I have nav on my 2014, it works and it’s a slow input process. I literally never usedit because Google Maps is faster and easier on my phone. If anything, get a new head unit w Apple Car Play or Android Auto. That would be a worthy upgrade IMO.
