If it is worth doing, it must be worth doing twice.
Still chasing the driveline bump. Vastly improved since the spring swap, but the shop that built it wants to check it and add a dust boot to the slip.

Have you ever had the yoke apart? And when the bulit it did they line all the U-joints up perfectly straight?
Only reason I ask is because I built a set for my cruiser that were off only a slight bit. I only could tell if I straight edged it. I ended up with a bump also. That's when I learned they have to be perfectly in line.
I also know that if the ball and cup are worn a slight bit it will bumb at the cv

Not convinced that they properly lubed the slip at assembly. I previously pulled it and lubed it, made it a little better. But not perfect. So back it goes. The ujoints are lined up. Confidence is still high it’ll get squared away. Just been spending too much time under this truck with dirt falling on my face.

I love the dirt in my face! Remind me of my dad.
Dad used to walk up to my cruiser and have a rubber mallet in hand and smack the floor. I miss that old man! I'm just trying to bring mine up like he did.
Thank you for that dirt in the face comment. Totally brought back memories.

This may be a question for @EDDO or idk if @jberry813 has any experience. Anyone else is welcome to chime in. I havent ever made large gauge wires but need to now for my winch and to upgrade my ground at the battery. Does anyone have any suggestions for a large gauge wire terminal crimping tool? Are the hexagonal ones with dies better? Or the hammer pinch type? Any suggestions would be appreciated. May call the local stereo shop and Leer electric and see what they say.

I've have good luck with both. Or I should say all three since I make most of mine with a big souldering gun and shit ton of heat. I then heat shrink everything I do with the heat shrink for wet connections (it has glue in it).

Well I need to uncrimp the factory negative for a first gen and upgrade the chassis ground (I dont like the lil baby one that comes from the factory) and put on my new terminals. Additionally I need to make a length of 4 gauge for my winch. Not sure how long. Really havent decided where to mount my switch

I took my control box off my winch and mounted it to the top of my ARB bumper. the leads to it are four gauge and eyes on both ends. I replaced those with 24" ones then made new battery cables all the same time. Did mine that way so everything was new and bigger. I still have my old control box cables I don't mind getting rid of. Just offering these. I have more somewhere just can't find them yet.

Highly recommend @Iggy for any electrical work. Had him move my battery to the bed, it took me a solid minute of staring at the underside of the truck to locate the battery cables he ran, it looked so OEM. Very good work, would use again 10/10.

David, I have heavy guage crimp tools, solder, torches and heat shrink. Find yourself the wire you you want to run and text me. We can figure out a time that works to get it done.

If you end up getting the wire and terminals at West Marine in Sacramento, they’ll let you use their crimp. And cut the wire for you too, of course.

I'd take em. If I don't use em, I can give em back

Thank you sir. That's what I need so I can connect my factory grounds back to the new terminals.

Would love to use @Iggy but doubt I could afford him, it's probably not worth his time, and him and @Overlanerd are probably swamped with their endeavor
