    Glad everyone is ok.
Would a steel bumper have saved the truck?

Steel bumpers will cause more damage in vehicle to vehicle collisions. Knocking deer out of the way, much better. Hitting a vehicle, your frame is going to be toast.

Seriously, if you want to share your knowledge, I’m eager to learn.

I was aggressive in my initial post and I want to apologize to OP. I really hope everyone involved, including the dogs, are OK. I said it previously, but can it ever be said too much?

I know how stressful it can be and I took advantage of a terrible situation. I’m sorry we overran your thread, OP, but know I’m pulling for you.

I agree, we’ll said. Everything is replaceable and that’s what insurance is for, it’s inconvenient yes, but this too shall pass. And great show of how strong and safe these trucks really are, if the OP didn’t mention the damage we couldn’t see, I’d say that would buff right out! Looks like granny ricochet off your truck and the slammed into her nursing home
