Bear in mind you'll need a long Phillips to adjust your headlights. The adjustment screws are accessed through some holes you stick the screwdriver down in. Mine have markings near them that tell you which way is up and down.

As far as adjusting, I actually went to a parking lot at night and used a handicap sign to aim mine. I was able to visualize a cars height better off that than just using my garage. That's just me though, not saying it's a "superior" method.

Simple matter of direct versus indirect lighting. On a reflector style, the beam is "aimed" to not blind other drivers, however the indirect lighting generated by the reflector "lit up" the road and area around it. With projector beams, they are still aimed at the same place the reflector beams are. But because the cutoff line, you get no indirect reflected lighting above it. Both are aimed at the same place. I agree hilly areas are bad because you cannot see up the next hill for any distance until you start up that hill. I just hit my high beams until I start up the hill.

Man I live on back roads with few street lights and as mentioned above this truck has great low beams. MUCH better than our current Subie and holy shit dangerous CR-V. Of course I see few cars at night so I run the high beams majority of the time.
