The other day my cruise control wouldn't work because the radar sensor was dirty. After cleaning it, it was fine. I was a bit frustrated that cruise control requires the sensor to function, why not just revert to good old fashioned cruise control? Honestly after 10-20 years when many of the TSS sensor decide to fail most people will probably just disable them and ignore it. It's frustrating though that you need a functioning sensor to use cruise control.

When you turn on the cruise control with the on/off button. Press and hold the button for 2 seconds. This will revert back to regular cruise control.

^^^ like Herniator said you just have to hold the button longer. I never use the adaptive cruise control.

Cool, good to know. I didn't realize you could use it without adaptive mode. Thanks!
