Recommendation for Salesperson Oahu

Greetings TW Hawaii!

I'm looking for a TWR Off Road.

I live on Big Island but I've been looking at the Servco Website since they have so many trucks and I might have a better chance finding the truck I want at a better price. On their site I was able to find one truck that has everything I want. I'm happy about that but I don't really want to call them and get the run around. Since I can't fly over there just to look, I would like to communicate via email. Does anyone know the email contact info for a salesperson or any person over there you would recommend that is great to work with? These Hawaii Toyota dealership websites are not very helpful I'm finding. And, it doesn't seem that they want anyone to buy a truck primarily through online communication although it is 2018 for god's sake! I know that they are not very flexible but the truck I'm looking at is a 2017 and they really want to get rid of them so maybe they will be willing to work with me.

I purchased my wife a 2017 Tacoma TRD 4X4 OR 6MT DCSB (IG3) on 05JAN17 and picked it up on 18JAN18 due to vehicle processing and holidays (25DEC17, 01JAN18,11JAN18) dock workers are CBA employees only can move max 40units per day on the docks, 9am-17pm with 1 hour break for lunch.

My truck was 42K before the specials as they had a sale out the door 36K.

If you looking my sales guy is solid! And he is awesome as he knew we are originally FBI Kona side, but past 8 years living Oahu as our jobs moved us here as Aloha Airlines fkn closed up shop.

While being born and raised on the Big Island, we always purchased our Toyota's from Oahu, as Big Island Toyota which was not part of Servco but an independent dealership (Dave DeLuze Big Island Toyota and Subaru) had an instant 10K mark-up. My uncle was the GM for them and since retired. Even as a famil y member he couldn't do shit.

Anyhow, if you need help with questions hit him up and tell him Noa sent you. Btw, he is retiring come 27FEB18 after 30 years in the field and there was and is no haggling at all trust me, cause I can and still couldv'e bought my Toyota stateside instead and send it here on a plane as my job would cover it but went local instead.

Hawaii Toyota's/Lexus's do not have the Entune APPS service enabled. It is disabled for the State of Hawaii just an FYI. Although mainland purchased Toyotas do and those who move here have and use them with no issues. If you have questions email me and I will send you all the compiled info gathered from the forum on 17 pages as I was pissed cause I have XM radio in my 2nd and 3rd cars both Nissans 6MT and don't understand how Toyota Corp can say no satellites cover Hawaii!?!

yeah man, BI get some deals but Oahu is much better. I know someone who got a 4runner from oahu for 36,500 shipped to BI. BItoyota wanted like almost 39k for the same thing OTD.

Otd? Thats about what im looking to pay! What options did the truck come with to be $42k? Im looking for a 2018 Magnetic Tacoma 4x4 DCSB auto OR.

 

Mine is from Servco, Magnetic Gray, OR DCSB with tech and premium and tow. I looked for a 2017 to save some mulla. I did not get any extras beyond those and it was/is 38 out the door (with tax and fees). only thing left is for me to pay 450 or so at Kawaihae when it arrives. Then tint and paint protection her on Big Island, etc.

On the 2017's they discount a few thousand.

17TRD OR 4X4 DCSB 6MT in 1G3 with Tech & Premium package cost was $42K on 05JAN18 went in no haggle internet pricing of $33K, due to barge late and Xmas/New years back logged dock workers processing all Toyota's for State of Hawaii all Islands. SERVCO sold me my truck still on the docks which I gave them $500 deposit so no one could attempt to sell or drive it. On 18JAN18 got a call my truck was at the dealership. Went down and closed out on it for $36,155 tax, title and documents along with the listed items:

1. GAP
2. Final coat
3. xzilon Interior, exterior protection
4. Tinted all windows
5. Extended Warranty for life on transferable
6. RoadHazard Tire and wheel protection

Hope this helps!?! They have a special that ends today 28FEB18. Not sure what tomorrow 01MAR18 will be had since they still have 2017 left on the lot. I am actually looking for another truck as this truck is my wife's and I'm over driving my old beater. Only thing is I want a 6MT and it was sold this morning and I don't want to pay the normal price for 2018 6MT which is $42K exactly the same as my wife's truck just more money.

 

very good price you got! that was the same I was quoted ("internet special"). I hadn't noticed that it was manual and I wanted automatic so I found the only one left, dark gray, automatic. cost a bit more for that. they did not offer all those extras. who was your salesperson?

when I looked, oh ten days ago, they had that which you want (MT) in dark gray silver and white.. same accept color I think.

You are the one that recommended to me that I go with Servco instead of Big Island so I followed your advice and emailed Rocky but he was retiring so he gave me someone else, not Erin. Folks on here also recommended Mackenzie to me but, turns out he was too busy so he gave me to someone else. I ended up working with Felix, 'cause he handles the internet sales primarily (i think). Now I'm forgetting.

Come to think of it- that MT OR gray that you wanted was put on hold for me for a day before I noticed it said MT in the listing and asked Felix to find me the same but with AT. Could be that the truck you were looking at disappeared from the listings and then reappeared, cause of me.

I think you did a lot better than I did- 'cause Rocky gave you all those extras. They didn't offer me any for free.

My 2017 truck was not listed with the 3,000 dollars off like the others but I pointed that out to them and they marked that one down too so I went for it. I think any 2017 they have will be marked down 3K and change until they are all gone.

Wowsers we both were looking at the same vehicle which is cool but it wasn't an AT instead was a MT.
Well after sending my reply last night and talking to the wifey about me wanting a new ride. I am going to wait till the end if the year and get me a 4Runner as originally planned. These trucks are awesome and you really can't go wrong with them.
I agree they'll probably run them with a 3K off on all remaining 17's.

Nice, thanks for the info. Is your truck a 18 or 17? Your post says 17 but your bio says 18. I was thinking about grabbing a 17 decided I might as well buy a 18 and try to get it at a discount price.

 

You're welcome and it is a 17, not an 18. I am trying to fix it as I am using my cell phone and will need to fix it on my laptop when I get home soon!

These are OTD prices but still too high for me. Anyone got a sales person they can recommend? Im on Maui so all other island would be dealing thru phone.

 

Yup, tried him but he said for outer islands he refers everyone to Guy Nagata.
