I'm running a Float X2, but I sold my take-off oem DPX2 to my friend for his Hightower. Works much better than the Rockshox.

Pretty sure my truck just appreciated in value looking at SC bike sticker prices.

Got to Moab a couple weeks ago for some bike and wheeling action. Finally starting to see Montana dry out a bit too. Only a matter of time

haha, I've seen a few of us. I try to split time between road and MTB, really depends on the weather on my days off.

The wifey and I have been talking about getting mountain bikes for some time. I’ve been a roadie for over 40 years, but have never ventured off pavement. As we start traveling more (trailer, main reason I bought the Taco), it just seems that MTBs would be more useable. Plus, wifey won’t ride the road except on our tandem.

    Yup we're here!

Just did a Metric Century ride (62 miles) yesterday with my commuter/adventure bike. Couldn't have asked for better weather!

    Sorry for the crappy pic:

My custom 12 year old Seven Elium SG (Ti and carbon). Considered a new ride 2 years ago but couldn’t justify it. My frame is like new, except for a peeling decal. Instead, I upgraded to SRAM e-Tap, all new components, and new wheels. I ride roughly 4,000 miles a year.

Honestly I've been extremely surprised with how much some of the trails have dried out though (Fellow NE MTBer) I was able to get out a few times so far and many more to come :yay:

whats good in the area right now, if you dont mind sharing? I'm in south central NH. I'm still pretty new as of last year so i'm learning all the trails around me. I'm hoping to get out a few times a week this season. I'm hoping kingdom trails will open up soon, I've got 3 days off in a row soon and would love to get out there.

@dman100 hey man, I believe you had asked me a while back about my bike transport setup in my bed. Using the 2x6 in the bed slot with my fork mounts. I moved it as far up as I could towards the front and still could not close my tailgate......I rode today and realized I never got back to ya...

Bear brook is defintely a recommendation, and you're probably pretty close to it. If you like downhill Highland MTN is great choice and close by you. Kingdom Trails :jerkoff:  I'm just dreaming for NEMBAfest so I can get up there for the weekend. I'm in central MA so I don't know too many options up your way; those are some highlights though.

bear brook was wear I really got hooked. went out with a buddy, hopped on his santa cruz and really haven't looked back. I dabbled at highland several years ago and almost killed myself a few times lol, I'm planning to go back a few times. I've heard good things about leominster state forest but havent been yet. Maybe I'll be motivated in the morning and get in a quick ride before work.

Leominter is a great place, that's typically where I go riding. Place is a damn maze though, I still haven't been able to find all the good trails yet. I've only been to Highland once last year and did the same thing, over the bars over/off a berm....that's a wake up call
