Mainly just looking and finding excuses to drive it some place. Did research on adding the Satellite radio receiver and fit kit. Found replacement floor mat and bed rail. Owners manual has been shipped. Somebody at Auction yard needed to spruce their Tacoma, so used mine to cannibalize as a truck with 27K in almost perfect condition should be missing parts that it was. Weather is warming this week and shouldn't have to busy of schedule of volunteer stuff at church this week, so I can detail it my way. Soon as I get my registration I will order personalized plates CA 1960's black/yellow like I back then Need suggestion on what to put Taco has to be part of it 7 letter max. Being CA we must keep it PC.

Installed a complete OME lift kit with UCAs from @HeadStrong Off-Road on Saturday. Youtube lied about how easy it was to remove the UCA bolt...:sawzall:

    SPC LR UCA's
    OME 90021 Nitrocharger Soft Rides
    OME 884 coils
    HS 3 Leaf AAL Pack

    Install took about 6-7 hours.

    20180430_175202.jpg 20180430_175235.jpg 20180430_175250.jpg

    Pre install measurements:

    Post install measurements:

Gained about 2" in the front, 2.5" in the back. Im sure it will settle out a little, but so far the ride is night and day compared to what was on it. I believe they were stock original from when it came off the line back in 2008.

Don't worry, new tires on scheduled for later this summer. I'm thinking some Cooper ST Maxx 255/85R16s.

Speaking of original, is there a market for used / old as dirt suspension parts? I didnt damage the parts i took off, so they could be re-installed. Maybe used as a backup for long off-road trips... idk. Does anyone want my old springs/shocks/UCAs/ubolts?

I made a shift lever adapter for my 5 speed out of some scrap aluminum so that I could put bicycle grips on it.

Ordered everything for my front camera install! :D Anyone who's wheeled out in the desert knows there are lots of hills that leave you vulnerable towards the top because you cant see anything. Hopefully this camera makes it a thing in the past! :fingerscrossed:

I work in Australia where the land cruisers come with it stock. Decided I would do it to my truck here too.

Is it the different rims front to rear? The steering wheel is on the wrong side for down under. But love the ute look.

Picked up my new plate bumper, as well as a Mobtown Offroad smooth tailgate reinforcement. It’s going to be NICE having a smooth cooking surface while at camp.

Flag is a 3% PRO-2nd amendment flag. Flown upside down as a signal of distress for my 2nd amendment freedoms especially in recent times. Doesn't help that I live in communist California.
