I just picked it (and a PS4) up. Haven't played it yet though. Was debating between GT Sport and Project Cars 2 but went with GT Sport since I just switched over to a playstation.

You'll like it! I haven't done much online play though.. I just assume everyone plays dirty. Also, I am bad at not bumping cars anyways and that will mess up your sportsmanship score. It's just so hard to be precise with the little thumb sticks.

I really want to try it, but I was reading that its mainly an online game. Project cars has a demo you can download. I played the first one and it was really good. The demo was really good too, but if i were to get back into a racing game like that, i'd just go back to iRacing.

I've considered picking up a copy, but the focus toward online gaming doesn't really interest me. I just wish there was more offline content. I'll still probably get it one day, but want to get the Cronus adapter to use my G25 wheel with the PS4 first.

Whatttt?? Where are you guys getting this info from? I have only done one online race... the rest have all been single player. It seems like mostly the same format as normal Gran Turismo. I don't think there's all that much of an "emphasis" on online gaming, and I certainly have not gotten that vibe while playing it. It's just one tiny menu option in many other single player modes and options.

There is driving school, challenges, and arcade mode... pretty much like standard Gran Turismo was, long before online gameplay was even a forethought.

It's been on my list to get for a while and this weekend seems like a good one to jump on it. Let me know if anyone wants my PSN ID if the game allows for racing together, not sure if that's in it or not.

I haven't played much but it's all been offline .they have all the race cups that were in previous versions. Fun game so far. Only thing I wish was more car customization. I remember being able to buy exhausts and camshafts and all that stuff individually. Now it's just buying 'power increase' and 'weight reduction'

I was reading a review and thought it said that you couldn't really play too much without being online, so I assumed it was geared toward racing against others online. I'm a casual gamer and hate worrying about ruining some others race online by my sloppy driving. I'd rather do the challenges and working my way through the racing categories like the other versions. I know the car list isn't as big as it used to be, but are there at least a lot of different models? The prior versions always boasted about the number of cars, but most were different variations of the same models. Hard to choose from 25 different GTR's. All things aside, I do love a good racing game. I might throw it in the Amazon cart next time.

I loved the first GT on the original PlayStation. Sadly i havent played it since then though, so probably like 17 years. I have been debating picking up a PS4 just to play GT again.

Ohhhh I know what you mean. Yes, you can't play much without being online. But what they mean is, you need an internet connection to use many of the features. It has nothing to do with multiplayer.

And don't worry about being a sloppy driver, I am too lol

Good to know. I have internet connectivity on my PS4 so no issues there. I guess I just misunderstood what it was talking about.

Bought it, read reviews on how they made it crappy and returned it without even opening it. Playing Forza 7

Love the driving, remember being able to customize cars more in the past but oh well I'll buy need fo speed if I want that. Completed a few career series, no online races yet, still collecting and setting up cars so I'm not all over the damn track.

Maybe I need to rent it from a Redbox first. Does it take hours for the initial install/update?

If I remember correctly, it was 32GB install. I installed it over night so not sure how long it took.

Oh that sucker took several hours. It does have the split install, so after about 20-30 min you can mess around in the arcade mode.

They have added the old school campaign mode on one of the last major updates. Sunday cup, clubman cup, etc. They also have the Gran Turismo 2 theme music for the campaign mode menus.
