It depends. Some people use ecollars to mark behavior while others use it as compulsion. On the compulsion side, there are some dogs that believe they've been struck down by jesus and you do have to buy back your relationship; ive seen this happen to even the highest drive police dogs that tolerate a high level of other forms of compulsion fine but for whatever reason the ecollar flattens em. And on the opposite spectrum there are dogs that don't care. Hit em at the highest power and they come back for more.

On the topic of two male dogs. Dog aggression is largely an individual trait and not necessarily associated to the sex, breed etc of the dog.

Honestly my ecollar on my lap cracks me up like you said cause she has no idea where it's coming from. But it doesn't phase her simply cause her fur is stupid thick

The probes need to have skin contact. Can you brush the fur to the side before you apply the collar? Some people also trim the fur or shave it off in the area they apply the collar.

We have and have had a male and female. Common denominator is the female. She’s a shepherd/beagle mix.

First scenario; older male Dane/lab mix, younger female shepherd/beagle mix. Younger female petrified of older male.

Dane/lab passed away, so we got a male collie mix. Now the female is the dominant one. They play well together, but she is definitely the alpha.

We have 2 male dogs in the house. We have to keep them separated because the poodle doesn’t like the Harley. He’s the dominate male, his name is Cody. He’s 5 years old. He always backs him into a corner and snarls at him. Harley just cowers down even though he outweighs him by 20 lbs. I just wish Harley would do something but he won’t. Here’s a pic of Cody

I've got two males right now. 11 year old lab and a 5 year old springer. They've fought 3x so far. Like full teeth i'm going to destroy you son fight. All 3 times I've simply yelled at them and both stopped what they were doing. They know its my way or my way. We had words after each fight (no i didn't hit them) My springer is a bit of a douche bag at times though.

From a breeder friend. 2 males = ok. male and female = ok. 2 females who hate each other? Life long feud and can be very difficult to reign in.
