    I’m at the point where it was operator error; wasn’t keeping up on retorques. The brake phenomenon is a mystery, hopefully it’s not still there during my test drive in 5 minutes

    The soft brakes are likely caused by the wheel bearings oscillating. The wheel oscillation kept pulling your pads apart as they turn, so you keep trying to close the gap by pumping them, but have a difficult time doing so since the gap keeps changing. I had a similar issue when the wheel bearing went on the front wheel of my motorcycle.

    EDIT: Just saw you said the hub looked fine so :notsure:

    You nailed it though. The loose spacer was allowing the rotor to flop around and spread open the pistons :thumbsup:

    @cynicalrider How many u joints have you gone through? I did one 2 years ago and can feel another, or the same one, going out. Curious if its because of the 33s or just age

    that’s the exact reason even if only one it bad I change all of them. If they are the same age then they will all probably where out roughly the same time. I don’t like chasing problems around

    Still all original or at least since I’ve owned it :anonymous: thinking about fully rebuilding my spare and CB and putting that on and keep this as my spare.

    @Lux @JCjeeper @HolyHandGrenade

    You’re still welcome to come over after your NNJ trail scouting trip for any welding that you need to do. On Saturday I’ll be home all afternoon after 1 pm. Sunday I’m home all day.

    Gonna weld my Cam Tab gussets and fab up a rear swingout removable bike mount and propane tank holder. At least that’s the plan.

    Also have a perfectly good leather loveseat that I’m kicking to the curb for the price of zero/nada if you want it. Wifey wants to change from brown to black leather, so out it goes!
