Right, when I go past the really low cars at 50 mph I am like "yup, in their eyes" zoooom. Then it is too late. It only last a second for them, and is nearly painless. I put up with it my car so.........

Right?! Got home and my wife said I had Amazon goodies. I just assumed it was the sunshades I ordered for my truck and her car 2 days ago, and yes those were there and so were Hikari’s I order this morning!

With, no. I am fiercely independent, to a fault. Lighting is just a hobby from the day job. I have been talking to some of their VPs about some ideas to improve their products though.

Working on wrapping up the pod/fog review tomorrow, then just need to focus on completing the write up. There will be a large LED liquidation tomorrow. Then I have a completely different LED thread which is already underway, before next hitting up the Hikaris. Don't worry, I didn't forget. :)

Hi everyone - I've lurked this thread off and on for over a year now. i told myself i'd wait to replace my headlight bulbs with LED's once one of them burnt out. I decided i couldn't wait that long, so I bought some. I initially had some OPT7's and Hikari bookmarked, but ended up going with a set of CougarMotors LED. The only reason was because they had by FAR the most amount of reviews and a vast majority of those were 5 star. Plus, they have a 3 year warranty.

    Here is a direct link - https://www.amazon.com/CougarMotor-...25268174&sr=1-2&keywords=cougar+motor+led+h11

My question is this - I bought 2 sets of H11's. One for my low beams, and one for my fogs. Is that correct?!?! i'm second guessing the set for my fog's now because they also have a set of H11's that say for fogs and have a 90 degree bend.

Can someone please confirm if I've mistakenly purchased 2 sets of lights that will only work on low beams, or am i safe and they are the same lights in headlights and fogs.

this thread is very overwhelming and honestly the technology and brands have changed so much in the almost 2 years the thread has been going it's hard to stay on top of what is currently the best.

Bulb type, yes that is correct. However you should not run drop in LEDs in your fogs, though many in this thread do it anyway. Here is why:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

You could still use that second set in your high beams.

For real LED fogs, you might watch the For Sale section, as I’ll be posting a FS of nearly every single legitimate fog option for the Tacoma which maintains a fog cut off later today.

You'll be absolutely fine. A lot of people in this thread have done what you want to do with great success. Others will chime in with alternate choices I am sure. @ToyoDrew @Parker315 @ratcityrain @jayrobot @mrproduxn

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on some Phillips, besides it's not as if the price difference is that much anyway.

Well, I am sure as time moves on more and more makers will be offering LEDs just as good at lower prices but for now these things are King of The Hill. And my second set was only $72 on a lightning sale and I remember someone paying even less. Just depends on how long you're willing to wait.

That's a good deal. I'm also thinking I'd like to combine them with the xb morimoto fogs because I really like the smoked appearance of them when they're not on.
