They won’t be recognized as Boy Scouts but rather “scouts” and they will allow girls to join as of June 2019. It’s rather laughable. Boy Scouts, what’s next? SMH no more tradition.

@ovrlndkull and I are actual Scout leaders. A couple others here are too.
He and I have met, and done a couple TW meets/wheeling.

We are simply attempting what many others here are not: doing our very best to help develop youth.

There needs to be more of this!

My council will not permit any females in our troop at all. They will have absolute zero impact on our Boys program.

The Girls program will be a separate Troop, with a different Troop Leader, different adult lead committee, and its own all female youth led program.

Many voicing opinions here simply dont have most facts. My council will NOT have boys and girls mixed in Scouts, at all- kinda like BS and GS now.

Please do not give a blanket label on things. If you son or daughter is interested, check out a troop. IF you do not like what you see- check out another.

A final note: this has been in the works for 10 years. This is the result of many focus groups and surverys/studies around the country. PARENTS have overwhelmingly driven this process.
