Foxwing awning & annex GB - Interest Gauge - Round 3

Maybe it’s a confusion of the terminology.

So the awning is the part that folds up and is mounted onto the vehicle. This is the shade. Self contained. Rolls up and poles and various hardware is stored in the grey case mounted on the truck.

The annex is another name for the walls that attach (horizontal Velcro) to the awning. There are 6x individual wall pieces that Attach (vertical zippers) to each other. These walls can not be used by themselves. No poles or any sort of structure included with the annex itself. They rely on the awning material at the top and the poles from the awning to rest on for support. They are how ever staked on the bottom to the ground.

You could possibly only make a little section of it, by only putting 4 walls up on a few sections, but without getting too much into the geometry of it all, it may not be “tight” and secure without having the pole at the vehicle corner, nor will it have something to attach to on one side at the top.. That being said it should be doable. Just wasn’t designed to not be used all at once. If that makes sence.

In the prior threads about this (and a few Pictures at the beginning) you’ll see a bit more pictures of the possible setups. Awning by itself. Annex installed but closed. Annex installed with doors open.

And I’m not saying to not get the awning and annex.
I know I’m already loving. Mine.

But simply because I don’t want all that water in my camp area immediately next to the cruiser.

Payment has been sent to the manufacturer. It was delayed one day due to me having to verify invoice and banking info so we wouldn't have another "situation".
Manufacturer gave me an ETA for delivery of mid-June. If all goes well at customs and no delays I will have the products one week after they arrive at port. This will hopefully be by the end of June.
