Hi all I have a stock Tacoma.TRD off road model, the cv boots on my front axles have lost their bands. Toyota says they won't cover under warranty. 15k on the truck it's a daily driver. What do I do?

What reason did they give you? How did they lose their retainers? Do you have any mods?

Call Toyota corp and file a complaint. If they are missing the bands they ARE warranty no matter what they say.

Try another dealer, that should be covered.

If you have not modified anything up front to cause the issue then try a different Dealer

They told me I off road my truck and it won't be covered. Mind you I drive on a gravel road here and there. No mods besides a topper on the back and led ditch lights.

Then it's easy. Call Toyota Corporate and open a case. My second question is, "How did you get 15K miles with no problems and now all of a sudden both CV boot retainers fail?

Dealer ship issue.. ask to talk to the service mgr... if you already did then call him back and give him a 2nd chance to fix it.

It's a Tacoma 4x4 built for off road.. thats why there's a 4x4 drive line.. wtf?
Be nice and see if he wont come around. If not them tell him your going to file a complaint with corporate.

    G/L
