Damn!! Nice thanks for all the info man I appreciate that. I'll definitely take you up on the offer for the Deutsche connector for free. I'll get the h11 connector and solder and seal it all up and make mine own. You made a very good point there.

    Sorry for the million questions.

My only concern is this. Looking at that photo, it definitely projects the lighting well. What I do like about the fog lights and bulbs I have now is that they spread the light out across the ground that's closer to the truck and the headlights do the further projecting of light. If angled correctly, would I still get that close vicinity of light coverage similar to whats seen in the pictures below as well as further forward light projection?

Depends, where are you planning on applying the bulbs?? HB, LB, Fogs, or all of the above?

The Hikari Phillips Lumiled bulbs are going to be what I and quite a few other members believe to be the best bulb on the market for the projector low beams, based on price and performance.

The Hikari Cree XHP50 bulbs are going to do better in the fog lights and high beams than the Hikari Phillips will. The AuxBeam f-16 is awesome, especially for the price. Currently, I run these in the fog lights.

This image is of just the fog lights and the DRL's on. These are the AuxBeam F-16 Bulbs

I've never used these bulbs specifically... But I have used THIS before I purchased the @mesojdm Ultimate Dome light and it was very bright and worked great.

This is the product dimensions and it fits perfectly.

Good question. The reason you have such close proximity light is the drop-in LEDs cause scatter, and some of that scatter is downward which illuminates the ground right in front of the truck. You also have forward facing light escape without bouncing off the reflector so some of the light it isn't aimed to project, which illuminates the ground right in front of the truck. But both these things also do the same upward as they do downward, causing glare. All that aside, over the cab shots that demonstrate close proximity are not exactly what you will see in the truck as your vision sight line will be pushed significantly outward away from the vehicle when you are seated at a lower vantage point looking over the hood vs standing over the cab, if that makes sense. Notice in this photo from Rigid's site on their LED fog pods how there is still a dark area immediately in front of the truck, while you would be able to see this standing over the cab, you would not notice it from the driver seat.

    upload_2018-5-3_11-50-22.jpg

The pods will produce a narrower beam than your current setup as it is controlled to not scatter via the projector lens, the beam is identical to the Morimotos using the same kind of projector, but at much higher power. People seem pretty happy with the Morimoto pattern. I haven't run them in my truck as that is way too many fogs/pods to install and test on the vehicle.

The 2nd Gen Cali Pods plates have some adjustability but not a lot. Minor trimming on the corner would provide significantly more. You can see my post on it here. I haven't tried out their 3rd gen pod mounts, the they look more forward facing vs angled back like the 2nd gen pods so it could be less of an issue. But you get the idea on proper placement, you want to tilt the fog beam down to fill in at the lower portion or just below the headlight pattern. Rigid and KC will provide a vertically taller beam spread, but are also 2.5-3x the price.

Yes absolutely, I totally get what you are saying. I understand that there is and should be about a 6-foot gap between the front of the truck and where the light actually starts with the fog lights, makes perfect sense. Like you said, when seated in the truck you won't even see that dark area. If these OffRoadTown Pods have a similar spread an output as that picture you just showed, I am 100% sold.

@RobP62 you have the Morimotos XD projector fogs. What do you think and I don't remember if you posted a similar side profile picture or over the cab shot. Do you mind sharing if you do have this??

I suppose i could order some f16s for lo beams until the new hakaris are available here then swap the f16s to the fogs

Or would i be better off to do this with the old hakaris?

For the low beam Hikari lumiled mine seem to have much better throw after adjusting them up slightly as others have done.

The Hikari Phillips Lumileds bulbs are available.... What do you mean? Here is a link. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077BT6M6Z

If you are wanting to buy the f-16's and put those in your LB for a cost savings perspective and you are switching from stock halogen, no you will not be disappointed. That's what I started out with and was happy. You may notice though that the throw distance is reduced some, but again what you don't know won't hurt you lol.

Baseline pic for reference, looking up the lane at my house, FYI, the cross slope is uphill to the left and downhill to the right, the lane slopes upwards as it goes farther into the woods.
