I will admit I lurked the Tacoma world site for a year before purchasing my 2017 Double cab Sport in tha Fall of 2016. I have wanted a Tacoma since Marty McFly got one in Back to the Future. Now the bad part. I hate the way the truck shifts. The dealer claims nothing is wrong. I purchased a shift sense pro in the Fall and it helps, its a great product! I will be trading the truck within the next two months. The tonneau and shift sense will go for sale soon.
    Thanks for listening!

As mentioned, trade it in for the MT. The Sport MT has a 4.30 rear and 8.75" like the Pro and OR. It is not a "fast" vehicle, but I seriously enjoy driving this truck everyday! Granted I have 1 stop light and NO traffic on my daily commute.

I had a 2011 and a 2014 Ridgeline prior to purchasing the Tacoma. I got spoiled with the ride. The gas mileage was 17-19MPG. The truck did everything that a homeowner in his 40s needs it to do. Move furniture for kid in college, HD runs you get the picture. The Ridgeline was ugly as well. Like I said always wanted a Tacoma bucket list item. I have had the Tacoma 19 months and I am just turning 12,000 miles. The ride is stiffer than I am used to and the shifting is so annoying that I want to part with the truck. My commute is 8 miles one way with a top speed of 35 MPH. this truck is in sixth gear at 35 and if I try and accelerate it lugs until I really push on the throttle and then it down shifts to far. Jaffarian in Haverhill said its in my head and the truck is to factory specs. Five people that I work with have new F-150 2.7 Eco boost super cabs. The trucks are ridiculously quick, drive smooth and are quite. I am not a Ford fan but its becoming a possible option.

So you are next door to me then! I got my truck at jaffarian. Try driving with ect on, it changes the shifting a lot.

The newer f150s are nice but also much bigger than the tacoma so be prepared for that. I considered them, but size and price steered me to the tacoma.

And use S mode topped at 4th gear for around town. Your MPGs will not be affected and you won't be annoyed by it going into 5th at 35mph.
