True... I just want sliders but having them shipped isn't cheap, so I was hoping I could find a local fabricator to build some. Almost every one makes them for Jeeps and has them in stock ready to weld on but for Tacomas they need to custom fab them.

Loaded the bike up in the truck tonight, heading to the coast after work to get some riding in this weekend.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
The cool part of our stuff (especially first gen) is it all looks more unique, second and third gens and Jeeps all look pretty much the same as one another even after bumpers and such.

Man just putting key words King, ARB, etc. in a parts search brings up about a 30% premium on new and used parts for our trucks over Jeeps - if I had a heep it'd be finished by now - except for that costly axle upgrade thing they have...

Oh completely! I couldn't own a wrangler here because every white girl locally has one that is lifted with rockstar wheels  I'd own an XJ, actually I was looking at XJs but a rust free one was so damn expensive and I found the truck I have now for practically nothing. Also I need a truck bed.

Same with the XJ. I grew up in the back seat of one going on camping trips - even for the nostalgia alone I'd consider getting one. Lots of them down here, but they're hacked up a lot.

Ha you think that’s bad - there’s like 4 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon’s in my school parking lot. I don’t think they’ve ever touched dirt before.

I’m kind of being hypocritical here, I’m guilty of the same thing. My buddy with an AWD Tesla Model S wants to go wheeling with me for some reason.

I definitely saw a 5th gen 4runner with a RTT in the university parking lot that looks like it never touched dirt yesterday.

I know I went to high school with at least 10 girls that had them. The other high school in town was much worse since it is on the 'rich side' of town. Kids over there got too much.

Very true. 1/4 of them will never leave the pavement too...

Up in Skagit Valley. I was hoping they would open up the North Cascades for me but it’s looking like I’ll be coming over 90.

Nice, I'm waiting for the high passes to open up for trail riding season to begin. I've never ridden around in the Skagit, have you been to Walker ORV or that area?

I attempted to change my rear shoes today and when I opened up the drum I found a lot of grease and oil. The picture is bad quality, but it was pretty funky in there. Sounds like it's a blown axle seal? I didn't have time to deal with it tonight and have finals for the forseeable future, is this a job anyone has experience with? Sounds like it's a pain in the ass...
