Oh, I'm wrong most of the time so..........

I remember the first time I saw it gone. I just thought it looked like it was not supposed to be there and that perhaps there was a design decision made to add it just as a point to make the 3rd gens different and no other reason. Once I started seeing it gone on more and more trucks the look grew on me. It definitely transforms the entire profile.

Oddly I don't think it looks horrible, and when I see it I don't think it's offensive to the look, I just think from an aesthetic view, especially considering the beautiful color of the Inferno being more prominent there when the windows are tinted, it looks more natural gone.

But I could be wrong.

 

I like the black pillar vinyl on the OR. It keeps the accents uniform across the body.

 

Yea, I think it is best suited when the flares and chin are black.

Inferno is amazing, but you can definitely over do inferno. Inferno needs a little black to break it up, or else it starts looking funny.

 

2 Demerits for you.

 

I have an 18 SR5 in Quicksand and I have these same tail lights. I was pleasantly surprised to find less chrome in the housings than I had on the 17 SR I traded in. Maybe toyota reads the forum and knows we hate chrome haha

That sounds like it has a Tech package ? Or is all that Standard now on all trims and I am just seeing the TSS stuff?

 

Thought tech is on TRD only. I think you are seeing TSS stuff. I will check it out today when I go in.

In my region you CAN'T get INFERNO 4 door 4 cyl.

In North Carolina, you can. Interesting to see how this truck ended up here.

Yea I think you're right. TSS stuff. But I didn't know colors were region specific. $29k MSRP is a great price. Try to get them to $27 out the door! Hell, my method (which doesn't always work) is start at 17% off sticker and come up a half a percent at a time. No less than 15%. Walk away. See what they do. Tell them you are going to look at another one. Make sure there is another one to go look at in case they check.

 

I already bought a truck from them today. And I have a 17 PRO. I don't need a 3rd, 3rd gen in the garage

Around here 2500-3K off is the market rate currently

I needed a farm truck. Wanted inferno but base trucks don’t come in that color so got a silver 2018 for $22,000. Picking that up today
