This is by no means a review yet. I'm still using it more before i do that, but it is a beast of a unit.

Holds everything that an action packer held, without having to carry a table, and other shit around. Nice compact unit that i dont mind throwing into the truck bed

How's it holding up in the rain? Curious to know if driving to camp in the rain results in a "bath" for your silverware when you open up that drawer.

I dont really take it in the rain. never rains in florida recently.

BUT. i mean, I wouldn't really worry about it. The way its constructed i dont see it being a huge issue. You could run some sealant on the seams if you are in a water prone area to be sure, but...really dont know. Ill do a hose test for you?

It will for sure get in the front, as there is no seal on the sides of the doors. I will say that though

It was more of a curiosity thing, no need to hose it down. :D

I ended up getting a roll up tonneau cover so I'm not terribly worried about it getting wet now, but living in the PNW (formerly from Florida myself) it was a passing concern. I'd hate to get to camp, open it up to prepare a meal, and see that I have to wash everything because of road dirt and water getting in.

Looking forward to your official review. I've not ruled this out yet, just want to give a go at a DIY option. Sadly, not in the cards right now. Maybe later this year or early next year.

It probably makes sense to run a rubber gasket around the door opening. I've seen one of these (compact edition) in person, and it definitely is pretty beefy. Another nice feature is that the top-center surface is just the right size for the 22" Partner stove to fit right between the knobs on either side.

im sure if you are required to, that is an easy enough thing to add. 5 minutes worth of seal and rivets.

Im sure it is easy to do. But for the price, that should have been taken into consideration. Just saying

Dont get me wrong thats a nice looking product and maybe down the road when they DO put a seal on it (cause im sure they will, probably going through RnD right now) I will possibly jump on it.

You also have to consider for $1230 CA + whatever shipping (if I cant find a supplier) is f'n ridiculous.

Yeah, that's a bit steep, but I'm guessing you're converting the $899 price point. Without all the gear it's $699, but that comes out to close to $950 CAD. I'm curious to know what the "sandwich" material is made from... foam for weight considerations? It's how they make the Four Wheel Campers, so I wouldn't be surprised.
