So im installing the anytime front/rear and nav bypass. Cameras are working perfectly. I guess I didnt fully understand the nav bypass because it doesnt operate a switch with lights as expected.

When truck is off the switch is lit, when truck is on the light goes out. Ive tried swapping the wires on the switch but the result is the same. I guess both ends of this wire has power when the truck is off. I liked the idea of knowing when this switch is active but im guessing ill need to get a new switch. Can anyone explain how this works?

Do I need a normally closed switch?
Any ideas on how to make the current switch function with the light?

I took it for a drive and turns out its not working. Im using one of the pre built harnesses from Anytimebackupcamera so not quite sure whats going on. Well I at least have a better idea of how this works now. When driving the light flickers, I know it sends some sort of speed data, so its not just a solid high or low voltage. Not sure why the light remains on when the truck is off though. I guess Ill be replacing the switch after I figure out why its not working. I figure the LED is such a low draw that I dont need to worry about it being on for now.
