I've been looking for a map of Tahuya that I could use on my phone, but haven't found one that's geo-referenced. So I've created my own map for Tahuya that's geo-referenced, but it needs some help. I've been wanting to get out there to field verify things, but April was really busy for me and May isn't looking any better. So I'm putting out to see if anyone has information. Mostly I'm not sure of the trail names, and I'm not sure if I have all the trails or if some of the trails on the map are no longer open. So if people have any information on this and can get that to me then I can put it on the map. Also if anyone has suggestions or thoughts on the map to make it better let me know. Even if you think it's a giant pile and think I need to start over. As for apps to use the map, I use Avenza. It has it's pluses and minuses, but for the most part it's not bad. The link is to my web site that I used to turn in assignments when I was taking night classes at UW. You should be able to download it from there.

I will be heading to the Seattle area with my girlfriend towards the end of June to visit a friend. Any recommendations on things to do while we are out there.

This will be her first time out there and my second. I did a bunch of stuff my first time out, but I know I missed a lot. Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Depends where you’ll be and how much time you’ll have? Plenty of stuff in Seattle like Pike Place market, the waterfront, ride the ducks etc if you want to stay in Seattle, or go hiking if you want to be in the mountains. Depends on what your interests are too

We will be getting there a little before noon on a Thursday. My plan so far is for us to take the train from the airport to down town and kill a few hours walking around there before my buddy gets off work and is able to pick us up. I would for sure like to go on a hike at some point.

We will be staying in the east lake neighborhood.

Skip Seattle or spend only the time there till your buddy gets off then go east or west towards the mountains.

Has anyone been up to Fortune Creek/Gallagher Head Lake recently? I have a friend in town in a stock Jeep Wrangler and we're hoping to do some camping up there this weekend. Wondering if the road is passable yet.

    Thanks in advance!

Damn that was my gut feeling. Thanks, sir!

Any suggestions on where we can go? I'm in a moderately lifted Tacoma with AT tires and will be accompanied by a stock Wrangler.
