Had one of these laying around. Third brake light flasher. Any help on an install on a 2017 sr5?
Removing the bezel was not helpful. Also any recs. for led light bulbs for the upper brake light?

    Thanks

Remove the light assembly and then test the wires with a multimeter.

seems like the light assembly must be removed from the inside of the cab, not wanting to do that...headliner etc.... have seen pics of wires running under the door sill, hopefully someone out there has done this and can help, as it seems like the flasher might help with safety.

In the drivers lower dash, look for this connection, and try the top right blue wire (directly above the blue and yellow wires)

I would put a multi-meter to it and tap the brakes to make sure it is a brake wire, then cut or de-pin it and see if the third brake light stops coming on when you tab the brakes. If so, you're golden. Then just wire the red inline with that wire, make a common ground for the blacks, and you should be set
