Love this truck, as well as this awesome Tacoma community! Tacomaworld is a major reason I would recommend a tacoma to a friend, thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Moving onto the build. My build will be a slow one as i plan on keeping this thing for 15-25 years and wouldn't want to get bored with it too soon. This thread is also for me to keep track of my planned modificstions. As you will see if you continue reading most major mods are planned and I have mostly customized the aesthetics of the truck. I got a wife and kid on the way and there is no shame in dreaming haha so I thought why not make a thread. I likely won't make any major mods until the truck is paid off in a few years.

    Powertrain:
-I'm waiting for my 3 year 36000 mile warranty to be up before messing with the powertrain at all.

    Suspension:
-Still have the stock OR suspension. Waiting to pull the trigger on some Fox Shocks with a 2" lift till I get some of the life out of these Bilstiens. Mostly a financial consideration here.

-Plan on Dakars full leaf replacement kit. Waiting till I upgrade the whole suspension all at once.

    Armor:
-Plan on getting some lightweight rock sliders.

-Plan on SSO slimline hybrid bumper with slot for 20" lightbar and winch mount.

-Plan on getting a lightweight rear off road bumper that raises the hitch mount to behind the stock license plate. Not sure of the brand yet.

    Storage:
-I found a used Leer 100XQ camper top color matched for my long bed. Love it! $2400 new, got it for $1300.

-Got the factory Tacoma bed mat.

-Plan on a prinsu cabrack for the double cab as well as one mounted on my Leer topper.

    Aesthetics:
-Debadged "Tacoma" emblem on doors, "V6" on tailgate, and both bedside stickers. Removed all the dealership stickers.

-Added blacked out "4×4" and TRD emblem to tailgate.

-Added "TACOMA" black plastic letter inserts to tailgate stamp out.

-Added 3x5 Matt black American flag vinyl decals to driver and passenger doors.

-Added 60mm TRD resin stickers to center caps and TRD OR black wheel vinyl to the wheels.

-Painted the stock 2017 TRD OR grill a combo of matt black and mgm grey. Also painted chrome bumper caps to match body color.

    Interior:
-Installed heated seats under the factory cloth seats.

-Replaced factory 12v with a dual USB fast charger by blue sea systems 4.8A.

-Replaced stock radio knobs with aluminum knobs made by a member.

-Removed all warning stickers from the interior as well as the sun visors.

-Added StartupImage of the family to the touch screen system.

-Plan to get some use from the factory cloth seats and when I have the truck paid off to upgrade to Katzin leather seats. Black w/ red stitching.

-Plan to get TRD shift knob to replace stock.

    Recovery:
-Plan to get MaxTrax and a recovery strap.

-Plan to get a synthetic 10,000lb winch.

-Plan to get D-rings on the new front and rear bumper.

-Plan to get a light axe and shovel mounted inside the bed.

    Sleeping:
-Plan to build a sleep platform above the wheel wells as lightweight as possible. On top of that I'll place a 3" memory foam pad to give as much roof clearance as possible. Underneath will be used for storage.

    Lighting:
-Plan 32" light bar hidden behind the grill.

-Plan to replace all stock lights with LED lights.

-Plan to replace stock fog lights with Amber LED's.

    Tires:
-Going to stick with the stock tires till they are no good then get some falken AT3 wildpeak

Thank you! Honestly I just pulled them off with my finger nails and then used alot of elbow grease and goo gone gel spray to get off the residue. If I was going to do it again I would use a hair dryer while pulling them off to minimize the residue you have to clean up. Also the goo gone won't make it come off super easy it still takes scrubbing and a brush (I used my boot brush) then cleaned it up with a microfiber cloth. They did clean out very well just alot of scrubbing and I scrubbed up and down on the visor rather than side to side to keep the cloth from sagging after.
