Debadge should be the #1 Mod. Way cleaner look without them....

Debadge sooner than later. Looks cleaner, easier to clean, I know I have a V6 4x4 Tacoma. I don't think I am going to forget that anytime soon!

Side Note: the smoked emblems do look pretty sweet though!

I removed the "TRD OFF ROAD" decal from the rear of the bed ... One side came out perfect however, the other I' assuming "I" dug into the paint. Left about an 1/8" x 1/2" dig in the clear. Don't know how this could have happened because I was using a nylon windshield tool as I have on many, many decal and badge removals. Hmmm, can't imagine this blem being done at the factory, then covering it with the decal. I'll claim this screw-up and go on with it.

I dunno what to tell you except to do ONE or the OTHER -- that chrome on cement is woof.... I've never blacked out badges before but I sure as heck did it on the cement.

I LOL @ those saying that blacking out emblems is "too played out" as if nobody's ever debadged before for the "clean" look.... arguably, debadging was played out before Plastidip was even mainstream! I debadged WAY WAY before I ever thought about blacking out.

I'm not saying one is better than the other (debadge or black out) but I would argue that they're both equally "played out" as most people do one or the other.

I wasn't going to touch anything on my truck cosmetically until I saw the cement with chrome in person. Now it's a matter of getting rid of ALL of the chrome that I can.

I would only black them out if my truck was black. I find smoking anything like lights or badges on something that isn't black looks goofy. like people that try to murder white vehicles

Well I went ahead and debadged after I dipped them. I realized I wasn’t a fan of the badges and how they were positioned. I might add the 4x4 at some point but for now o like it!

(I need to wash my truck and finish getting the adhesive off but the wd-40 didn’t work as well as I hoped).

Next I’m going to remove that chrome piece of the bumper and get window tint.

I know I'm in the minority around here.....but I suppose it's based on the color of your truck.

I like the small amount of chrome & factory badges on black trucks.

I like the blacked out badges on MGM and non gloss colored trucks.

I'm also not a fan of the folks that put false badges/decals on their trucks.....ex, Pro emblems on trucks that aren't Pro's.......4x4 emblems on 2WD trucks, etc. Sort of like a Mustang GT owner who swaps out his badges for Cobra badges.
