just another survey... Can't complain other than I was starving...

 

When do you get any test results?

 

Just a typical survey... Never, sometimes, usually, always. how was the wait time to get a room, blah, blah, blah

 

Nope, can't do with all of the liquid rust they through on the roads in the winter.

 

Everything done in the hospital, got before I left... Monitor - not sure. See the doc on Thursday, but wear this thing until the 25th. Speaking of the monitor, night unit will not connect. Told them it NEVER connected Saturday night and had already been on for 2 hours (Sunday night) and hadn't connected. Day unit is fine - connects within a minute or two. Called last night @ 11:30 and they said, shouldn't take so long to connect. I'd already turned the phone off and on, unit off and on, (which the guy the other night said to do) and she finally agreed it's toast and is sending another one.... Should get that tomorrow

 

I've seen a couple of posts where folks heated them with a heat gun and reshaped them for clearance.

 

I already had done that. The 'alignment' brought the wheel toward the rear of the opening. I've read I should max out caster on the LCAs and adjust to +3* via the UCAs, then adjust camber via the UCAs to 0, then toe to 0. If I had alignment plates, I'd do it myself. I don't have access to an alignment rack anymore. I've seen the DIY plates but they only rotate and I'd prefer the ones that slide sideways too so that I wouldn't have to roll the truck off of the plates and back on each time I had to raise it for an adjustment. The good ones are too expensive for my garage.

 

Wasn’t too bad today. Spent it beachcombing at Fort Stevens Stare Park.

 

We just recently had one of our GIS interns get on full time job in that area. I think it is with the state park(s).

 

You can leve the LCA's in the normal position, although I don't guess it would hurt to move them, but yes try to get the UCA castor number up around +3. If you only have stock UCA's you'll be doing good to get much of anything over +2 but that should really help. If you have aftermarket UCA's they should have some castor built in and +3 will be easy to achieve. You don't really want to go much past that as it will actually move the tire back on the lower end, A member on here had a really good write up showing the numbers it was emlightening.

Those are the numbers I go with. I found a shop with a large alignment machine, used for trucks.
