Nope it's just the natural evolution of TW thread.

Example - it's like when Eddie Murphy got busted for picking up he-shes....and every news outlet lost its shit for about 3-4 days then someone goes "what's the problem with he-shes, everyone gets quiet and it goes away for a bit until the next celeb gets busted for snorting cocaine out of a hookers ass....and boom revival, and someone goes "he you remember when Eddie picked up that he-shes?"

Same applies in TW, except the thread goes crazy, someone post some political or racial shit, gets locked, the notoriety dies down....until the next crazy thread...this thread will get linked, people will go oh shit, and then boom someone posts some political shit.....vicious cycle.
