Pedal commander is a waste of money. It doesn't provide any actual benefit to the user, and the OVtune is available which actually gives the truck more tq and hp all the time. It actually just makes the truck better overall, less jerky and much smoother

    Welcome.

My overview of the pedal Commander. I think it's more beneficial for autos than manuals.

They offer a satisfaction guarantee so if it's not for you just return it but there's a lot of positive feedback on it vs negative.

It’s a waste, just step on the pedal more and it does the same thing. I don't use my Pedal commander anymore. I’m waiting to buy ovtune. It will actually change how the car drives.

Never heard of a “pedal commander” before..

What’s the difference between an ovtune and shift sense pro? Sorry, not trying to steer off this thread

Weclome to the SR5 club! Love mine too. I don't see any need to throw on any additions or OVTune either. To each his own though! Enjoy.

So shift sense pro is basically "ECT button always on" mode. It tells the transmission to hold gears longer in regular traffic so you're in the power band more often. If you have an auto I guess that means something to you.

OVTune for auto trucks includes that function, and adds engine tuning for optional horsepower including adjustments to air fuel ratio targets (which were ATROCIOUS), as well as ramping up the ignition timing and overall making a lot more power and doing so more smoothly. It is essentially a no-compromise upgrade to the truck and at 700$ it's a steal for what it does and the fact that you get all the legacy updates for that price.
For Mt trucks it obviously does not change the transmission at all, but the power is nice And in particular it makes the throttle much more linear/predictable which is absolutely huge on these trucks as this was a big shortcoming on Toyotas part with these trucks. They are unapologetically truck-like in naturein a time where the tech is definitely there to make a truck that rides much better

Awesome. Thank you for your descriptive reply. Sounds like ovtune will be my next purchase.
