Add Additonal Apps or Features

I don't know if this has already been covered yet or not. But, is there a way to add additional apps on the factory head unit?

 

all add apps would be on your phone that plays thru the head unit. i do know one exception. if you add a front camera and use the Vimity-05 wiring adapter a AUX button appears on the screen for the front camera. there may be more?

 

I wish they had Apple Car play for the Tacomas

 

No apps can be added. What you see is what you get! Facebook, Pandora, Slacker and I Heart Radio. Antiquated as 2 soup cans and a string! Yes, Car Play would be a huge improvement. Marketing has shown it's unwarranted for these trucks! So you'll be waiting a long time before you see it.
