Okay, I make a decent wage. But all of this stuff can be so expensive. The guys who have insane rigs are y'all sponsored or something? I just can't see anyone dropping that kind of money icon and king are charging for suspension alone. On top of all that, tons of lighting, bumpers, etc. I would love to do this kind of stuff to my truck but when someone says anything about cheaper options on here they get flamed.. I'm flustered

I save over time. I saved for 15 years before buying my Taco, and included a budget for builds. So far so good and all cash.

Can’t you just print yourself a truck yet? Your 3D printers must be getting huge with all that cash flow.

It seems as if 2/3 of people do whatever they can to get the most mods to impress the most dudes on Instagram and the forums and only 1/3 at most of people actually mod their trucks as per their needs because they actually do things other than type and sit at meet and greets. That’s my observation

This is the most likely reason. I’m sure lots of people will deny, but credit is freer today than it was a few years ago. The lending industry is hungry for returns, so unsecured lending is where they go for making money.

Either youre married or you just joined the service. People are going to hate and troll. You do what you want to your truck with pride. Don't do mods for anyones benefit but your own. Anyone on here who is going to hate on you for your mods is either jealous or pathetic. Good builds take some time and savings. If you ever need advice use the search bar or start a thread noting you don't understand and need help (Just ignore the douches that heckle you.)

They probably spend all their money on their truck and nothing else. I choose to spend my excess income on stuff like guns, traveling, etc. I use to be in that phase of gotta have the jacked up truck with everything you can think of on it. Now I just need a reliable truck and don't even think about doing anything to it other than slapping a toolbox on it.

It is not a pizza hut for jiggalos.

    They DO serve pizza!

    You DON'T want it.

Although the $1.00 16oz ribeye is pretty damn nearly tolerable.

If you have to ask, you can't handle it.

Slow and steady. I’ve just been adding little things here and there that I can afford as I can afford them, while simultaneously saving up for larger things I want/need. I’m not going super heavily modded though either since I don’t really need to for my application. I’ll probably stop after sliders, tires, lift and skids. When you look at the super heavily modded trucks it seems there are 2 categories, hard work or deep pockets/debt.
