265/70/17 stock suspension rubbing UCA

I have searched for several days and havnt found anything. I have a stock 17' TRD sport for 265/70/17 wildpeaks and while they fit as everyone knows, they do rub on the UCA more than id like. Does anybody know of a 1" quality spacer I could use since without a lift things could be pushing it already? I know of the 1.25" spidertrax but rather try not to go too crazy without suspension as I have no interest in lifting the truck.

There shouldn’t be any rubbing at that size. You may need an alignment.

Other than that, spidertrax makes a decent spacer. I don’t run them, but lots of people here do.

 

An alignment never even crossed my mind to be honest! I just had the truck in for service and after they rotated the tires i have a pretty violent shake when i hit 90km/hr or 55 miles/hr. Didnt have it before so much be playing into the alignment with a tire from the rear that wasnt as well balanced as the others.

 

Def alignment. 265 is the same width as stock and should def not rub the UCA's.

 

I agree with the alignment issue, but 1.25 inch spider trax are great as well!

 

Its not major but its down to metal and dont want to replace em after onyl 24k. Appreciate the help guys ill grab an alignment ASAP

 

Dealer told me its 1 of the tires that was moved from the rear to the front during tire rotation. Says they tried to re-balance but the tire itself isnt round. Alignment was only slightly out....

 

Time to replace a tire.

Have almost the exact setup on my Sport; 265/70/17 Wildpeaks on 4Runner wheels. I was running 1.25" spacers and had a vicious rub. Once I removed the spacers, I no longer had an issue.

Agree something else must be going on. Any chance the rim is bent? Even a pothole or mild curb could knock it slightly out of round. It would also explain not being able to properly balance the tire. Years ago I had a set of Weld Wheels and two of them had that same issue. Bought them new too.

 

I dont recall hitting anything at anytime to be honest. Its baffling

 

That's a bummer man. Not sure where you got your tires from but saw on the Falken site that there were tires that were supposed to be destroyed that have been illegally resold by places. the 265 70 17 wildpeaks will rub the uca my 2017 sport wheels did the same thing .I just went ahead and put a small lift on and bought aftermarket wheels.

 

Must be cuz theyre a little more aggressive on the outside tread then something like a KO2. What did you do in the way of a small lift?

 

just a 2 1/2 spacer lift and a 1 inch block in the rear. set of Ballistic Off Road Tank wheels with 4.5 bs and -12 offset the wildpeaks ride great .

 

WildPeaks are junk.
