He's 200 miles North NW of the big island of Hawaii . Oahu has a Air Quality advisory set in place if / when the trade winds push the volcanic debris his direction . right now air quality in Kailua is moderate

 

We got a really good jump on my operations room today. Basically a 20' storage container, added a side door, added power, added an ac and insulated it with 2" foam board. Tomorrow morning we'll hang the lights from the ceiling and get the desk in. The desk is an old one for reading plans and drawings. I think I have most of the plans and drawings from the 70's to present on the buildings and a lot of the systems. Thinking next summer I can start the notes for the changes and maybe spend some time getting those rolling. We've made a ton of changes and upgrades over the last 4 years and most don't really need an explanation. Since all the obsolete crap has been removed from the electrical boxes (and not just abandoned in place), most is pretty apparant.

Probably have a little bbq for my seasonal help sometime this week. Great folks. More than deserving of a day of rest and celebration of our achievements this last season.

Wasted two hours today completing my State mandated sexual harassment training. Course stated that I need to be 'acceptive' of transgender visiting restroom that they identify with. Work is a SMALL part of my life and I will be damned if you will control my thoughts, opinions, or culture...

That's the saying I always used to keep the colors straight. Then the boss gave me a card with the colors and how to read them. I kept it on me but rarely needed to reference it.
