I called them out on that and they said I couldn't use that interest rate with the "deep discounts" they already had given me, 4200.00 off list.

 

Your Salesman is a asshole.

 

Walk away and go somewhere else. If they want the sale they will go after you.

 

The problem has been solved. Like many have said, just play the game. Finance through toyota to get the discounts, push the first payment out to 90 days, then have your bank refinance at a lower rate before you even make the first payment. Best of both worlds. I was not aware of this game yesterday, but after talking with my credit union, Im educated now

 

Make sure you mention the game and how horrible the dealership was with the dealer survey from Toyota.

 

Don't do it! 7% is fucking awful! I'm paying 0% interest on my 2017 OR bought in February 2018. Timing is everything.

 

Good for you for doing the research. I think you did the right thing. There are too many people that have no idea what their interest rate is. They just want the payment to be $xxx and could care less about the rest of it.
