What's up guys? Just received my new Eonon 10.1 inch deck. I believe this to be the latest edition, Android 7.1 2gb/32gb. I ordered mine on Ebay, from a seller in California for $312 shipped. Arrived here in Vegas in 2 days. Here's some unboxing pics, box and packing quality seems is perfect.

This thing has every type of connection you can think of. Multiple forms of video input such as HDMI and AV inputs, 2 USB ports (one for a dash cam). 2 subwoofer outputs, front and separate rear RCA outs, a monster mic in (even though the face has a mic), steering wheel control (single wire), GPS antenna, WIFI antenna. The wiring harness for the deck came wired to a plug. I bought a toyota wiring harness from FRY's here in Las Vegas for $2.45. (they price match internet pricing). So i cut the wires from the back of the black plug and used the manual to see the wiring diagram for the head unit, connecting the two with nylon butt connectors. My wiring was different than I had expected. For example the red wire was not the constant positive, the yellow was. So if you are buying this deck I would carefully check the wiring pin numbers in the manual. I have only driven with it for about 45 minutes but it seems to work perfectly. Boot up time is about 1 minute, but it has a shutoff delay that you can set for up to an hour so the unit will 'sleep' instead of completely shut off when you shut the car off for short periods of time, like while getting gas. Sound quality is decent out of the box so I am sure that with some tuning, and subs Im going to put in next, it will sound great. Ill post some pics of the installed deck here in a few minutes.

Sorry for the delay guys, we literally just got back into town. Pics are kind of bright, and my trucks dirty but here ya go. The screen has pull tabs on the back of it that allow you to adjust the height of how it attaches to the deck itself. I set mine to the lowest setting so that I can access the A/C controls, i can still easily get into the ash tray and use the cigarette lighter. The screen moves easily in all directions with two hands, even when gear the selector is in park. I didn't go too crazy in the truck since this is my first time out with it, kind of a shake down for me. I did drive several miles down heavily potted and washed dirt roads, some trails and sand dunes though and the face does vibrate as you would expect (very minimal) but it does not move, the angle of the screen does not change. Build quality is great, it sounds good every single thing works as it should, Bluetooth works great, the cable mic works better than most included mics I have ever had. The touch screen is easy to use and very responsive. Two things I would consider if I were going to buy this deck again. The first is the glare. Luckily the mounting position in my truck is low, i have a camper shell and dark tinted windows. When driving during the day I did have to adjust the screen angle to reduce glare but it was never so bad that I couldnt see the face clearly. If the interior of your car is very bright and your mounting position is higher up you may need to get an anti glare screen protector. The second is that there are no physical buttons or knobs and the volume keys are kind of small (I have been blessed with fat hands though lol) and placed closely together. Trying to adjust the volume while driving means looking down at the small icons on the left hand side of the screen, not easy when your driving in traffic or anywhere where full attention is needed. Overall I am very happy with the deck so far. I messed with the EQ and am happy with the sound that it produces so far, no amps or subs yet. The thing to remember about this unit is that it has a full android OS. So you can download apps and customize this unit completely. If you dont like the EQ settings provided you can download one from the play store. I plugged my GoPro into the USB in and was able to see pictures and videos I had taken on the trip, really cool way to pass the time on the trip home. I have only really streamed music via bluetooth so far, but I am going to try the screen mirroring and USB phone interface soon and I will let you know how it goes. Eonon customer service is badass, I had a question about GPS usage and messaged them on facebook. I got a reply within an hour, not a generic auto response, but a detailed message answering my specific question. This is unheard of with most products, so big ups to their social media team.20180513_124632.jpg 20180513_124753.jpg The boot screen can be customized with a picture or car logo as well.20180513_124706.jpg Tilted all the way down. You can see the micro sd slot here for an optional GPS card. There are several options for GPS, I will be using my phones network connection to run google maps.20180513_124717.jpgScreen angled towards the passenger seat. 20180513_124728.jpg Angled towards the drivers seat.20180513_124814.jpg View from the middle console.20180513_124835.jpg

Also, I did not wire the unit correctly. I must have read the pin numbers incorrectly, the constant power is red and the ignition is yellow. So my deck was shutting down completely every time i shut the car off. I am going to rewire it this week and Ill let you know exactly what I did wrong.

Very cool, I have been reading the reviews and they have been good with a few bad ones about not getting the noise level up to even stock loudness. So I have been on the fence on this and was going to wait until the next version came out to see what they upgraded on it but I may just grab one and try to install it on my own!

@338Lapua Its wierd to me that there would be complaints about the actual sound level. I personally do not even turn it up a third of the way and its loud as hell, and I am just using a preset EQ. If the actual sound level is a concern there are several ways to make this an insanely nice set up. The deck is set up to run several amp setups and variations. There are front and rear RCA outs, 2 separate ones (2 red and 2 white). This means you can amplify the front and rear speakers independently or simultaneously, there are also 2 different subwoofer outputs. Volume/Loudness of a deck is always limited by the power output of the deck, really meant for small stock speakers. Not sure what the deck wattage is but it sounds good to me, I have the component speakers in the front and i believe 6.5 in the rear. My long term plan is to get a custom fit dual 8" sub box for behind the rear seats, obviously amp those, and a 4 channel amp for the cab speakers. Not sure what brands or models I want yet. Whatever speakers are in my truck as of now sound great so im gonna ride those till they blow then upgrade them as well. I am fairly positive that I can tune this to my needs with the stock deck software but if not i will download an EQ app to the deck. You could go a step further and wire the deck to an external EQ, but really this is unnecessary and overkill in my opinion.

I just used the 'easyconnect' app that pre loaded to the deck. Works perfect and makes using the phones connectivity very easy. I did have to enable USB debugging on my galaxy S8, but thats easy. I have only tried the USB wired connection for this but it does have the option for a wifi connection to the phone. The app also supports Apple connections. If you have an apple device i believe you have to download android smart switch to be able to connect.

338Lapua I just installed this in my 2009 Double Cab without the JBL. Also was able to retain the the steering wheel controls. Give me a few days to come up with a write up for you. let me know if you have any question on the install?

If you are an apple product guy, I went ahead and bought a USB Dongle CarPlay adapter for android units. Only down side so far is I loose my next and previous controls from the steering wheel. Other then that I've been pretty happy so far.

Nice cant wait to see it! I am still waiting on my unit to arrive. I got the run around from the " US STOCK SHIPPING FROM CA" guy and now its been 2 weeks when it should have been here the 25th. He sent me fake tracking numbers and all. When I got in touch with ebay he finally said it was shipped from Hong Kong. Im not going to do the steering wheel adapter as I hardly use it anyway. Look forward to your write up !

Wiring and install are easy, lots of wires to route though.

I was lucky enough to get mine shipped from the US warehouse and received it within two weeks to Germany. I'm stationed over seas so still technically have a US address. Did take them about a week to ship it out. Received a few confirmation emails from eononclub the seller on eBay stating that it had shipped with no tracking confirmation, eventually like I mentioned it finally shipped form a US address. After installing and many nights youtubing I wish I would have known about Joying another Chinese Android company. They have a universal toyota wiring harness that I've read is plug and play. Also they seem to have more options of stereos. I had the steering wheel adapter from a previous install so figured I continue to use it with this install. It was extremely easy to wire up once I had discovered the correct wires to use. Same with the back up OEM camera in the rear view mirror if your truck comes with it.

I'm sure the 2nd gens have a little more room then the 1st gens. I only used the two usb connectors since I have no intentions of installing a sub or using any other monitors for the rear passengers. How are you liking the stereo so far? I am not a android guy so it took me a while to configure it and install APKS. Only actual complaint I have is the boot up time. I have tried going into setting and seeing if I could speed it up but couldn't find any setting to speed it up.

I actually really like it so far. Kinda big and nerdy, but I'm okay with that. Only complaint is the tiny volume buttons that are hard to adjust without looking at the screen. The interface is very easy to use even if you are not familiar with android. More advanced features may be a little more research intense but it works like an android tablet should. The boot time is a little much but you can set it to stay on standby for an hour after you shut the vehicle off. So if you run into a store the boot up is almost immediate but longer than an hour and it boots from dead.

I have had an issue with the touch interface freezing twice now. Once the unit was rebooted the issue went away.
