How important is tire and wheel weight for a 4 Cylinder DCSB? Currently I have the OEM Silver Steel Wheels (30 lbs.) and Michelin M/S 2 (35 lbs.). My next tire change I'll add the Discoverer AT3 (C load) at 41 lbs. My vehicle has enough trouble at high altitude at the current tire/wheel weight. It seems obvious that adding more weight will not help performance.

Originally I thought my money would be best spent adding 5100's in each corner. I am thinking of waiting on this because my truck only has 33K on it and rides find as my daily driver. I take about 6 trips a year to the Eastern Sierra's for very mild off-roading.

I am considering adding OEM 16" Alloy Wheels which will reduce the wheel weight by 7 lbs. Adding the Discoverer AT3 (C load) will put me just about even with my current tire/wheel weight.
