What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I do not know what or why, but the glass on the topper has numbers etched into it along with the rest of the glass on the truck. It all has the same number. So does that mean it was from the factory, or maybe a tinting company? Idk, the front doors glass does not seem to have tinting.

 

i believe its a type of anti-theft procedure

I wired up the OTRATTW swithes and made labels for EVERYTHING in case/when I have to disconnect it, I don't have a bouquet of wires staring back at me when I go to re-connect them on their corresponding pins

 

05-11 have the same front clip, 12-15 Toyota changed the front clip. . . this means that the aftermarket bumpers are different between the two year ranges.

 

You will have to ask @Twizted how he likes his. I am stuck between buying one and waiting forever for a production window to get one made. I love the look though!!

So far I've only installed it. No issues to mention. I got it secondhand, and it still mounted up smoothly.

 

Anyone have a recommendation for onboard air?? I'm trying to find a cost-effective but reliable onboard air system mostly for refilling my tiers after getting back to the blacktop as well as blowing the random crap off that I find in barns.

To piggyback off this post, I have a HELP QUESTION:

When I turn ONLY my fog lights on, the passenger side does NOT illuminate. However when I turn BOTH the light bar & the fog lights on, everything lights up

I'm running an add-a-fuse from the cab's fuse box to the #6 pin and I connected another wire to that one so I could run it to both switches (pictured below of the split).

I also ground the #7 pin, and piggybacked another wire to split over to the other switch.

All other pins (#8, #2, #3) are coming from each individual wiring harness/relay that's mounted underneath the hood.


I'm unsure how just 1 light would come on when the fogs are turned ON, but then when I turn the light bar on, everything comes on???



Guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have a VIAIR 440P... seems to work very well for my needs, haven't mounted it/hooked it up to direct wire, but I'm happy with its performance.

I see lots of guys running ARB.

Installed the birddawg mirror relocate bracket. This was recommended by @redtaco512 and damn I love it!!! I tried my best to take pictures from the exact same spot so you can see the gained visibility. The website says won't work on the electric mirrors but mine is the homelink mirror and it works fine. So I am not sure which mirror he is referring to but all is good here. Highly recommend for anyone that struggles with that thing being in the way.
