Damn hopefully they repost and/or didn't sell! I hadn't refreshed since yesterday. I should've grabbed the phone number before I did!

Yeh I would be interested to know the source of the flaws as well. Would want more pictures too - it's hard to tell the extent of the damage from those pictures.

You were spoiled by those engine mounts! I have ridden bikes that have had them, but most I have ridden have not. It's definitely something I would look into.

I cant buy something that is carburated. So much effort. Also, dont get a 883. Too slow. Ill look for you, since I am always looking for me. What is your budget? distance range?

I want to start a bike, and not have to worry about choke and if the fuel is on.

I think you are right about the carb, but my 2004 had the rubber engine mounts.

I would be worried that it was possibly layed down at some point. Yep, those mounts were nice! I have ridden the bone-jarring ones as well and never again!

I was just mentioning this same thing to John the other day! Though mine would just hold a solar shower. Great minds think alike.

My first bike was a Yamaha SR400...had to check the choke, fuel, and it was kick start only. I was always worried about stalling it in traffic.

    Edit: +2 on no 883...

Definitely won't get an 883. I have ridden my friend's and it is way too slow, plus not fun to ride with the wife on the back.

Don't want to spend more than $3500, and I don't want to have to drive more than a couple hours.

I emailed him asking for more pictures and specifically if it had been laid down.

I learned to ride on dirt bikes, then moved up to my Dad's old Harleys, which were all older, then to a Kawasaki Ninja ZX6r, now back to the Harleys.

    I know, I know...

I want something older, because I like older stuff, that I can work on and customize a little (I really like bobber style), but that runs, because I will never have the time to work on it.
