I'm in need of a new hood for my 3rd Gen.
A quick google search come up with a lot of vendors for Tacoma hoods but none actually having any.
Searching Craigslist and FaceBook Market Place didn't yield any results either.
Anyone have an idea where I can order one up online? I don't care if it has the scoop or not.

My local dealer sells new ones.

Are you looking for used only?

    New or used is fine.
Never thought about going to the dealership for a hood.

Dealership is as good of a source as any, but with them you may pay the highest dollar amount. Then again, if the paint job is bad or the hood is damaged from factory or during shipment, it's covered.

I've seen LOTS of 3rd gen hoods for sale in my area (Wash DC) on Craigslist. Pretty obnoxious when I was looking for a 2nd gen hood... I had to sift through all the "Tacoma hood" titled ads that ended up being for 3rd gens... Pretty damn cheap too. 1-2 year old hoods in mint condition listed for like $250. Hard to beat that IMO. And if it's the color you need, then damn, what a blessing.

Limited wheels, extra rope hooks in bed.
I think you could easily find someone on Tacoma World to sell you their non-scooped hood, especially good for you if it was the same color. They could then have a little bit of cash to go towards a new scooped hood for their truck which is want a lot of people would like to have. Best to find someone local though, as you probably wouldn't want to have a painted hood shipped anywhere...
