I run a double cab 2016 and currently have the OEM steps on. I lifted my truck and found that the boards are not optimal for me because they're too far off the ground, and too close to the truck to make for easy access and egress. I was looking into getting Predator steps but they're a little pricey, but will get them if they're worth it. I also ran into some brand called N-Fab or something, similar look but about half the price. Which one should I go for?

There are quite a few people on here who have the N-Fab steps and like them. That said, if you keep an eye on the 3rd gen marketplace, you can probably get a deal on the Predators if you prefer OEM. There's often someone who got them with the truck but doesn't want them.

Go Rhino makes a rock slider that has a foot step that you can bolt on and take off when you want, it looks pretty cool

I recommend the Toyota Predator steps, especially if you can get a gently used set. I liked them so much on my Tacoma I bought another set when I got my 4Runner. They’re not sliders if you go off road much but they’re aluminum and are useful for getting in and stepping out of the truck.

Aluminum? I thought they were steel metal? Where did you get this info from? I might get this predator steps myself if they are aluminum as well!!

See nightcrawler’s post above. I am not sure if the brackets are aluminum, also. I hope so.
