Installing the wheelers 3leaf AAL and I thought I stripped the bolt out but the threads just are long enough. Or maybe I did strip the last few threads off? Need about another 1/2 of thread. Didn’t think I wrenched hard enough for that!

I think I got a wrong bolt. Anyone else ever have this issue? Kind screwed for now tho.

Did you clamp the whole leaf pack together with a C clamp? My bolt from wheelers worked fine.

Yeah but not sure I had it clamped tight enough and being the nut was at the end of the thread I think it stripped the last few right off way too easily. Like I said put the other bolt in easily and was able to tight it down pretty good. 2 different bolt type in the same kit.

Not the end of the world. Just sucks being without my truck until I can get a new bolt. Not really wanting to go the hardware store route others have gone.

I’ll just have to finish the other side Monday or Tuesday hopefully. But hey...I’m half done. Lol

Emailed Wheelers about the odd bolt. They’re shipping me a new one.

Dang those manufacturers! Sorry about that @KingFisher . What a horrible thing to do. We are now checking all add a leafs that leave here due to not being able to trust the manufacturer with a simple task. :annoyed:
