So they cut my MCL out. And put in a cadaver one, then they cut up my old mcl, and grafted onto my acl, then sewed up my meniscus. He said it's gonna be sore, he had to pull the bones apart to get the meniscus repositioned.

Yea, that is a 4.5 hour drive for me from Tyler to ATX, would have to have something else going on down there.

I may be down there Oct 8-10 for a Tech Convention called SpiceWorld, but I still need to either book a hotel or find some place I can crash on a couch or something at least.

I would end up coming down the day before on Sunday or even Saturday and doing something Sunday or trying to do something Sunday with some TTC peeps... but that is still a good ways away anways.

But if anyone is in the tech field in ATX or surrounding and has not heard of Spiceworld, check it out, it is well worth the money spent to attend.. lots of learning, lots of free stuff, and there is one giant party one night... we could have a TTC meetup lol.

You could drop your truck off at Triple C and I'll melt those cam tab gussets on.

That is possible... will have to see if I have them done before then or not, but will keep it in mind though. All depends on if I go to that convention or not.

The robot shit only lasts 10 years, and they can only do it twice. I opted out of that too, even though the doc warned me my knee won't be trust worthy for up to 36 months.

Anyone in TTC want to make a trek to Hot Springs, Arkansas the weekend of June 1st for the Razorback Ramble? I was interested in going, but wanting to convoy up with some people and so forth.

$50 registration, right now looking like a small event, but I have never been to Hot Springs ORV so would not mind going with some people that I know up there...

There’s extra papers to sign, but you can get a film crew in there to make it happen. I don’t know the definition of “crew”, but I always consider it when weighing my options. Check out “Mat Hoffman” (legend bmx rider). He had a bunch of knee work done and most of it is online.

A video would be way cooler :headbang:

I’m glad you’re up and about! Add it to your mod list and keep us posted. I hope you have a quick recovery, bubba!

Said my gramps before finally caving in...

He has the occasional pain, but he also says he wouldn’t ever trade that for immobility. You may move slower, but you’re still moving... and on both legs.

Please explain. What only lasts 10 years? I want to know!

I asked if they could give me one of the big screws that hold my shoulder together if they had an extra in the tool box for a keepsake. They said sure for $700. I asked what’s the damn wrench worth! :spending:

The glide cups are lined with rubber and plastic, they wear out with a "active" lifestyle. Witch they consider walking, kneeling, or carrying anything. Most last around 8 to 10 years, but around 20% have to re-done within 3 years.

They did show me one & it’s kinda a funky thread. Cross between a plastic screw thread & a sheet metal screw. Titanium I think. But ya, i’ve Worked with lotsa exotic metals & there’ No way that’s 700.
